Getting There
This walk was organised and led by Jeff B as a CBC walk:
Saturday 30 January - A Night At Red Rocks - S/E-M/W.From Kambah Pool we walk beside the Murrumbidgee River in the late afternoon to scenic Red Rocks Gorge. After some exploration, swims and our evening meal, we return to reach the cars about 10pm under the light of the blue moon. All on a good track apart from the gorge itself. (Although disputed, the usual definition of a blue moon is a second full moon in a calendar month. It doesn’t really look blue! In Australia’s time zone we get a blue moon in January 2010 instead of December 2009.) Map: Tuggeranong 1:25,000 (not really needed). Leader: Jeff B. Transport: ~$3-5. Limit: 12.
19 of us met at the Kambah Pool car park. Jeff sorted the milling group into 2 parties, each walking separately with a leader.
Further Information
ETA at Kambah Pool will be somewhere around 4pm.
